Lost Planet 3
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
Lost Planet 2
E.X. Troopers
Unfortunately, I was not able to find much information in regards to the time period of the game E.X. Troopers, which belongs to the Lost Planet series of games. Since I was not able to discover its time period, I was not able to include E.X. Troopers in my chronological story order of Lost Planet games, as any placement that I would give that game would be merely a guess, devoid of any evidence. For this reason, I did not include that game in my chronological story order list. Considering that I do not know the exact time period of E.X. Troopers, it seems reasonable that this game could be played in any order in relation to the others. I included E.X. Troopers with a time break in relation to the other Lost Planet games, represented by a blank space, simply to represent that it doesn't have a clear place in the chronology of Lost Planet games. It does not mean that this game is not canon or that it doesn't belong to the same continuity. It simply is marked separately because it has an unknown placement in the chronology.
The Story Timeline Order of Lost Planet Games
This is a timeline of the Lost Planet games, in which the exact year in which each game is set is shown. The exceptions are Lost Planet 3 and E.X. Troopers, for which I did not find an exact year. It is worthwhile to mention that these are years in Lost Planet games timeline, which can also be called "Lost Planet years", or "years in the Lost Planet games universe". This is specially evident because of the T.C. marking.
T.C. -?? Lost Planet 3
T.C. -80 Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
T.C. -70 Lost Planet 2
T.C. ?? E.X. Troopers
The story events of Lost Planet 3 take place before the story events of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. While I was not able to find the exact year in which Lost Planet 3 is set, it is clear to me that Lost Planet 3 is definitely set before Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, even if I did not find the exact amount of years that correspond to the difference in time between these two games.
Unfortunately, I was not able to find a specific year for the game E.X. Troopers, and I do not have information as to whether this game is set before or after other Lost Planet games. Considering that I have not been able to find this information, I did not include E.X. Troopers in my timeline of Lost Planet games, and simply mentioned it with an unknown date. I did not find any evidence that could make E.X. Troopers not canon, and for this reason I consider this game to be canon to the Lost Planet series of games. While I did not find the year in which E.X. Troopers is set, I believe that this game is set in a time approximate to Lost Planet 3 or Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, possibly between those two or some years before or after either of them. I do not believe that E.X. Troopers is set in a very far away time in the series when compared to Lost Planet 3 or Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. My reason for this theory is that E.X. Troopers features a similar environment and similar conditions to those two games mentioned, and is set in the same planet.
